Zambia HIV/AIDS Leadership Forum

Inspirational Stories

The Leadership Retreat of the Zambia HIV/AIDS Leadership Forum was run for 24 emerging leaders from the Copperbelt Province in January of 2006.

Its mission was simple: to inspire action against HIV/AIDS in Zambia by developing emerging leaders across the nation. It’s aims were threefold; to build the capacity for leadership, increase the effectiveness of organisations and develop a leadership network amongst the members.

A review was held in Kitwe just over two weeks following the retreat to maintain the momentum of the group and understand what sort of leadership actions had begun to emerge. These stories were shared by members of the Forum in response.
