Impact place 4th in the Financial Times Best Workplaces 2008
Impact International is the 4th Best Workplace in the UK, as judged by the Financial Times and the Great Place To Work Institute. Our position was awarded based on our people's feedback about Impact in terms of Credibility, Respect, Fairness, Pride and Camaraderie. We were ranked alongside all other companies, large or small in the UK and are delighted with the result.
The Financial Times awards are based on the belief that the definition of a great place to work is a place where the employees trust the people they work for, have pride in what they do, and enjoy working with their colleagues.
According to the results of the Financial Times poll of UK businesses of all sizes Impact International is the:
Best company for work life balance
Best most fun and friendly company
Best most welcoming company
Best company for community contribution
Runner up for collaborative culture
Runner up for my work has special meaning
Runner up for most trusted management
Runner up for absence of organisational politics
Along with Google (who took 1st place for Best Workplace) we were shortlisted for the Learning and Leadership for Sustainability Award. We were also placed 28th of all small and medium sized companies in Europe.
“Great places to work are made up of great people - at Impact we have spent 28 years attracting and retaining the best talent in our industry. The Financial Times believe that Impact demonstrated our vision to be "the best experiential learning organisation, to be a great place to work and to be a model of sustainable enterprise". Our position as the 4th Best Workplace in the UK was due to a combination of factors from our community involvement to personal development and our approach to work life balance.
