Integrating Graduates
Adding value to every stage of the graduate journey
Attracting and retaining the best graduates is integral to the business strategy of a sustainable enterprise.
Today’s graduates often find themselves disappointed when employers do not live up to the hard sell of their glossy recruitment adverts. Impact helps graduates find the commitment and focus that matures into engagement and loyalty. At the same time, we help them to develop the interpersonal skills and emotional capacity to cope with the rigours of corporate life.
We believe in the force of direct personal experience, supported by new skills and structured reflection, in changing attitudes and behaviour.
Our graduate programmes include complex and compelling experiences. These may include experiential learning, psychometric instruments, knowledge and skill developments, simulations, role-plays, action learning and community action projects. These are carefully designed to raise the issues and model the process that will confront graduates in their work environment. The engaging mix of practical, reflective, emotional and conceptual elements ensures that learning is embedded in a consequential and lasting way.
The graduate journey:
Impact is well positioned to help organisations at every milestone on the graduate journey; from attraction and selection, through to development and retention.
At the recruitment stage, we work in partnership with a specialist graduate consultancy, Futureboard, to help you to attract and select high calibre graduates with a view to fast-tracking them into leadership roles.
Once on board, Impact create a pragmatic and meaningful learning and development programme that will help them on their journey to becoming future leaders and board members.
Our contribution can take several forms, from a one-off intervention to a fully-integrated modular programme involving key topics such as team skills, effective leadership, presentation skills, influencing, business skills and project planning.
By supporting up-and-coming talent you will attract better quality candidates, increase retention, improve employee engagement generally and reduce future recruitment costs.
Impact will help you to:
• challenge graduates to challenge themselves
• instill an awareness and understanding of your company’s values
• open up new vistas of capability and identify the weaknesses that can and must be addressed if that potential energy and enthusiasm is to be put at the disposal of your organisation.
In return your business will benefit from graduates who:
• are committed, loyal and easier to retain
• are engaged emotionally and intellectually
• take responsibility for their own development and accelerate their transition from education to the world of work.
