BBC Oceans

Paul Rose is Impact International’s ‘Ideas into Action’ man…he is also an experienced explorer, field work expert, expedition leader and BBC TV presenter too. His new series 'Oceans' has now started on BBC2.

paul_rose.jpgPaul has recently returned to Impact in the Lake District having travelled the globe from the Southern Ocean to the Arctic Ocean, unravelling the secrets of the depths for a new BBC TV series Oceans.

The eight part series, which started on Wednesday 12 November on BBC2, follows the team of intrepid adventurers as they explore the oceans of planet Earth. The team ventured into some of the planet's most challenging environments and with the help of scientists and dive teams, they descended beneath frozen Arctic ice-sheets, dived into mysterious black holes in the Bahamas and plunged into the dark water with the fearsome Humboldt squid.

“We are here to understand the Earth’s oceans and put them on a human scale.”
Paul Rose
