Andy Read
Job title

Last book you read?
The Gingerbread Man to my four year old daughter last night
Your heroes include...?
Martin Luther King, Kevin Keegan (for being the man who nearly bought silverware to St. James Park) and people who are driven to help others less fortunate than themselves
Favourite line from a film?
"All I have ever asked for is an honest weeks wages for an honest days pay!" Bilko’s line from the film of the same name. Been my motto for a long time and so far so good
Your best day at Impact (so far...)?
I’ve had so many in a relatively short space of time but it has to be either experiencing a group of Knowsley delegates on a 4 day team development programme who showed such inspiration in the challenges they face in life coming from a very deprived part of Liverpool or sharing a sauna in Stockholm with Greavsie!
Who makes you laugh?
I love observational comedy so people like Peter Kaye, Billy Connolly and the late Dave Allen
Last journey you took?
To attend some sales meeting in Paris so it was literally planes, trains and automobiles
What’s on your desk?
As little as possible – I hate clutter. Laptop, phone and any overspill from Lozza’s desk is all you will usually find
Proudest moment at work?
Rising to the challenges I faced very early on in my career at Impact and surviving. As well as challenging our delegates we challenge ourselves too and learning by doing is definitely the best way to develop
How do you deal with stress?
By being around people I enjoy being with – I’ve many to choose from at Impact so I’m very lucky
Favourite place?
There is only one choice – St James Park NE1 on match day
3 people you’d have dinner with (dead or alive)?
Mohammed Ali (in his hey day) Peter Kaye and Keira Knightly
