1994 - Impact Culture

We believe that the key to the success of a company is the people within it. As an experiential training company, it is important that Impact as a company reflects the people values that it passes on.

Impact doesn't just talk about how to be a great place to work. The main objective of working at Impact, according to David, is not to get too serious as people tend to work better with a smile on their face.

So how do we live our culture? How about a holiday with everyone you work with?

In 1994 the entire Impact team went to Austria for a week white water rafting.  For some this was their fourth holiday with the company, following a team build to Pembrokeshire in 1983, sailing in Scotland in 1984 and a ski trip to Austria a few years earlier.  It wasn't to be the last holiday though.  At regular points in our history the whole office has shut down for a week to allow the team to spend quality time together enjoying themselves and learning about each other.

Open communication is really important to our culture. On any Monday morning throughout the world, the Monday morning meeting for Impact staff takes place. This looks at the week ahead, gives a forum for any staff concerns and provides a place to ask for input on any client issues. The same is true on Friday afternoon, which always includes Friday drinks at lunchtime, for everybody not delivering a programme, to discuss successes of the week.
